MT. AIRY, NC (Nov. 5, 2018) — Pike Corporation, a leading construction and engineering company for electric and gas utility clients, announced today that it has hired Jorge McClees as president of Power Contracting, which is a division of Pike Corporation that serves utility customers in the western half of the United States.

“Jorge is a valuable addition to our company and for our customers,” said Eric Pike, CEO of Pike Corporation. “Given his extensive market experience spanning public, private and multinational clients, Jorge’s ability to partner with our clients to optimize project planning and implementation will be immeasurable.”

McClees brings 28 years of experience with proven results across multiple infrastructure segments, including electricity, oil and gas, pipeline, mining, hazardous water/wastewater, and transportation. After building and selling an engineering practice serving microelectronics leaders Intel, Hewlett-Packard, and Fujitsu, Jorge joined URS Corporation (now AECOM) in 2008 as the Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for the Pacific Northwest. While at URS Corporation, Jorge developed well-known projects such as the $17 billion Alaska Pipeline Project.

“The Power Contracting team is the most thoughtful and results-driven group of professionals that I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know, so it is a real honor to join the company,” said McClees. “I am looking forward to working with our customers on grid modernization and other important initiatives as energy sector changes continue to unfold.”
